At FileMate, we take your privacy seriously. This policy describes how we handle information in our macOS application.

1. No Data Collection

FileMate is designed to be a private-by-default utility. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data or file information from your computer. All file analysis and metadata editing happen locally on your device.

2. No Analytics

We do not use any third-party analytics services within the application. We don't track how you use the app, what files you inspect, or how often you use specific features.

3. Crash Reporting

If the app crashes, macOS may ask if you want to send a crash report to Apple and the developer. These reports are anonymized and only contain technical information about the crash to help us fix bugs. You can opt-out of this via macOS System Settings.

4. Third-Party Services

The application may contain links to our website or support email. These are standard external links and do not track your activity within the app.
